I visited Issirac Basin in two different events, the first time was during my first of Master (in 2008) as a field excursion part of my degree, while the second time was during an internship in Total SA during the summer between my first and second year of Master (in 2009).
The Issirac Basin is a sub-basin of the larger Alès Basin located in south of France and where there is an active petroleum system.
During my three months internship in Total, my aim was to help a future PhD student in her preliminary field campaigns to collect basic data, sedimentary logs, samples, and a preliminary geological mapping.
