I visited Siccar Point in June 2024 while leading participants to the Petrobras Summer School organised in Heriot-Watt.
During this one-day excursion we visited the world renowned outcrop, where James Hutton defined for the first time the notions of deep geological time and continuous geological events. He is considered to be the father of modern geology.
