I visited the Mojave Desert and more specifically the Silurian Hills as part of a Ms-res supervision/support in November and December 2016.
During the 3 weeks fieldwork, we studied the sedimentology of the Precambrian carbonate and clastic formations of the Cryogenian Pahrump Group. The facies encounetered there comprised microbialites, diamictite, sandstones, carbonates, conglomerates and dolomite.
